Rain wear?

IF....if ....just in case...it does rain....

What is plan B clothing option?

I just thought of this...and my furry warm playa coat would be a horrible mess if it rained.

I hear the playa is currently unusually cold this year.
What if it's like the year 2000 ....it rained a lot and the streets turned to muddy messes

eeeks....i needs a plan B.

Anyone else bringing rain gear?

    If it rains, you'll not be walking or biking around anyway (mud builds up on shoes and tires, quickly becomes a nightmare). Just find shelter and stay put. Most rain on the playa (when at all- pretty rare during the event, tho it rained a tad last year on Sunday nite) is short and not much volume.

      ya, i remember from 2000.....no biking, cuz the mud gunked up the bikes and traction was impossible.
      and the playa platforms....made from the build up on the shoes...i almost broke my bits a few times as chunks broke off my heals and or toe ends. it was bitterly cold that year too...like 40ish....birrr...

      i'm bringing my mudd boots anyway...as well as a rain slicker....it's clearish/opaque...so it could double as a costume too...over naked skin ;)

        We have a couple of plastic rain ponchos in small plastic packages in our stuff, just in case. The only reason I bring them is they take up so little space. I doubt we'll ever use them, even if it does rain, but it warms my anal retentive heart to know they're there.

        If it does rain, please don't walk on the playa. All those chunks sticking to your shoes leave big divets in the playa once it dries. Riding your bike over all that damaged playa hurts the coochie! If it rains, please just find the nearest shelter, make some new friends there, and chill for a bit. It'll be over and dry up before you know it.
