Just wondering how Burner ladies feel about men in skirts. I don't know why it's a sexy thought to me but it is (for me in 'em -- I don't care what other guys wear, duh). I was actually looking on the skirts rack at Goodwill the other day -- then I got all embarrassed and quit. Too many suburbanites about, I dunno. Anyway, yeah. If you find men in (short) skirts sexy, please say why. If you do not, please say why. Tx.

Re: Men in skirts
Tue, June 9, 2009 - 5:56 AMWhat matters is how you feel in a skirt. Just go for it and if you like it, the sexy will show.
MyLarry wears kilts, ballgowns, miniskirts, disco dresses... and then he has playawear. -

Tue, June 9, 2009 - 10:30 AMI think most people look pretty sexy in a short skirt, men included. -

Re: Men in skirts
Tue, June 9, 2009 - 3:06 PMI find a man in a skirt sexy for the same reason men find women in skirts sexy. Easy on, easy off, hike it up, spank spank. What other reason do you need?

Re: Men in skirts
Tue, June 9, 2009 - 3:40 PMIt looks great, as long as you avoid the dreaded Socks-With-Sandals look, or the Trainers-With-Hiked-Up-Socks.
If you're going to wear socks, make them just ever-so-slightly-taller than your (preferably) BOOTS. If you're wearin' trainers, wear those athletic mini-sock things so there's very little visible Sock.
Or hell, just go all the way and wear argyle knee-high socks. But there's nothing more unattractive (in my opinion!) than bare legs and those awkward socks-up-to-midcalf.
And fuck, even Jesus couldn't get away with the socks-and-sandals look. See what happened to that guy?

Re: Men in skirts
Sat, June 13, 2009 - 6:26 AMI wore one for the first time last year and it was awesome.I found it at the BM boutique next to center camp. It quickly became a staple of wardrobe. I added a black leather belt with metal loops on it (to which I attached my stuff), and called it a kilt. Sadly, I tossed it. Gladly, I'll find a new one for this year!

Re: Men in skirts
Sat, June 13, 2009 - 1:24 PMI love it!!
If you're unsure, a kilt is a great way to start. My friend Johnny makes his own skirts out of cargo pants, and has made some REALLY great designs. If you're in LA, hit me up, maybe I can show you how to do it.

Re: Men in skirts
Sun, June 14, 2009 - 10:43 PMKilts are too explicitly masculine. A whole nother thing. I'll just get me some skirts that fit and make it up as I go. Thanks! -

Re: Men in skirts
Mon, June 15, 2009 - 11:53 AMif you are looking to save money a camper that was next to me took old tee shirts cut the neck hole open a bit turned the sleves inside out and put a quick stich in the bottom to create pockets. The image on the shirt was cool and the material was light so it helped keep him cool. I tried one for hanging out and it was super comfy though I still do kilts when going out and about. -

Friggin brilliant.
Mon, June 15, 2009 - 6:17 PMOkay, why have I not seen this idea before? It's friggin brilliant! Instead of T-shirts, they're T-skirts!

Mon, June 15, 2009 - 12:13 PMdon't be shy to shop in the women's section.
It was weird for me at first, too... but now i automatically run to the women's section first when in a thrift store.

Re: Men in skirts
Tue, June 16, 2009 - 9:57 AMI wear kilts and skirts. My kilts are for camp setup. They've got lots of pockets, loops, and they're tough. Skirts, and now longer dresses, are for days and nights out on the playa!
So comfy, that breeze blows up to cool the boys, and damn if I don't look good. -

Re: Men in skirts
Thu, July 2, 2009 - 3:55 PMi think part of the sexiness of men in skirts is that they are confident enough in their own masculinity and themselves they are willing to be free and goofy. confidence = sexy. goofy=sexy. -

Re: Men in skirts
Wed, July 29, 2009 - 2:15 PMI've spent hours in the ladies section the last couple days, and beyond skirts, I've found that there are more PANTS that fit in the womens section, what's up with that? I can't find 28/34s in mens hardly ever, yet girls pants from size 4-8 all come long enough for me, where are these super tall girls, or do they just roll the cuffs over 5 times?!
And don't feel weird about it, heck, 1/2 the girls there don't think it's weird you're there (the other 1/2 think you're a creepy MF!) -

Re: Men in skirts
Thu, July 30, 2009 - 6:14 PMNot to double post, but I'd like to add another confirmation to this for you :)
I was modeling the pants, and skirts, and mini-skirts that I picked up this week to someone who is definitely not a burner, and she thought they were totally hot :) If I remember, the quote while I was wearing my red plaid pleated mini was "Wow, you look hot in that, I don't think I would have ever believed I would say that if you told me you were wearing that!"
It was also nice to get a stamp of approval on EVERY skirt (and all the womans pants, that fit really well) that I'd picked out!
Now if only I had that luck with shirts too...

Thu, July 30, 2009 - 6:55 PMMy honey is "not a burner" and loves wearing skirts when he can. Its very sexy to me. Its mosty sexy because I can see how sexy he feels. That said, I would urge you to go for it.:)
